Florida Undergraduate Research Conference

The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) will be held from February 23-24, 2018 at the Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida. FURC is one of the largest multi-disciplinary research conferences in the country. Students attending FURC will have the opportunity to showcase their own research and connect with students conducting research at other Florida institutions. The conference will also offer workshops and a graduate school fair.

The cost of travel (charter bus), accommodations, the registration fee, and meals (outside of refreshments provided by the conference) will be covered by CRE. Students may opt to provide their own transportation arrangements, but they will not be reimbursed.

All presentations will be poster presentations. CRE will provide poster printing.

Arts and Sciences Conference Travel and Research Expense Grants

The College of Arts and Sciences and the Division of Undergraduate Studies supports both conference travel funding and undergraduate research through the administration of these grants. Students from all College of Arts and Sciences disciplines, especially those in the Honors or Honors in the Major programs, are encouraged to apply.

Meeting of the Minds Research Conference Travel Awards

Sponsored by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement with funding from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), this award covers all conference costs for students presenting their research at the annual ACC undergraduate research conference, Meeting of the Minds. This year, Meeting of the Minds will be held at Boston College from April 6 - 8, 2018. All majors are eligible to apply. Selected participants will have all travel expenses covered, including plane, hotel, and food. Students can present their original, student-directed and faculty-mentored research or creative project as an oral presentation (15 minutes) or poster presentation. This application requires one letter of recommendation from the student's faculty mentor.

Meeting of the Minds Research Conference application

Student Council for Undergraduate Research and Creativity (SCURC) Student Conference Travel Grants

Offered by the Student Council of Undergraduate Research & Creativity (SCURC), funded by the Student Government Association Undergraduate students who are presenting research or a creative project at a professional conference may receive up to $500 to cover travel/conference expenses. The Pepper Institute on Public Policy and Aging Conference Travel Grants for Graduate and Undergraduate Students

The Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy, located in the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, provides conference travel support for graduate students working with FSU faculty or on their own, or undergraduate students working with FSU faculty on research addressing aging issues.
